EKO HOT BLOG reports that tragedy struck on Saturday evening, April 22, as blocks of flats collapsed in the Sango Police Barracks located in Oyo State. Although details surrounding the incident are still emerging, a video that has gone viral on social media shows that the collapsed structure is situated in front of a residential three-storey building.
The cause of the building collapse is yet to be ascertained. It is unclear if there were any casualties or persons trapped in the debris of the collapsed structure. As at the time of filing this report, the Oyo State police command and the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Ibadan, are yet to make any official comments regarding the incident.
