Abdul called for collective efforts, concise and valid reports from tests being conducted across the various project sites.

According to her, LSMTL is vast in technological transformation, one being directed at structural and highest standards of quality and safety.

She added that the agency stood for quality, seamless and prompt service delivery as part of a revamped process in flagging all consultants as ambassadors of a new dawn.

“As an affiliate of construction processes, it implies enhanced productivity to mitigate effects from sharp practices by unscrupulous workers who deceive residents seeking materials tests.

“Hence, you need to simply identify your beats based on obviously distressed houses, new structures or abandoned property, then mark them using the codes given to enhance further coordination by the enforcement team” she said.

Reiterating on the delineation process, Abdul informed that as an integral move committed toward safety standards, this underscored the importance of providing quality assurance in conformity with established codes.

She explained that the codes had to do with implementing regulations governing the construction industry, through transparency on its operations.

According to her, this is a new form of operations involving unique codes peculiar to each consultant .

“It offers an avenue for curbing anomalies from fraudulent practices, and serves as a measure to coordinate and foster a streamlined process through an established synergy between the Agency’s enforcement team and its consultants.

“To totally check incidences of buildings’ disaster upon completion of the tests conducted , the clients should visit a structural engineer with the reports for effective interpretations of such results ,” Abdul stated

The general manager warned that sanctions would be meted out on anyone or project supervisor who went against  slated orders for the progress of the agency, as a revenue generating entity.
