The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai, on Friday, commissioned a total of 288 flats at the Ikeja Military Cantonment, Lagos.
The renovated buildings, meant for the accommodation of soldiers, were affected during the Ikeja Bomb explosions in 2001 and had been in dilapidated conditions until the Buratai intervened through the Nigerian Army Engineers Direct Project.
The commissioning of the flats, part of activities lined up for this year’s NADCEL 2019, saw the COAS latter proceeding to Bonny Military Cantonment Central Mosque for Juma’at service for the day.
