The Kano State Police Command has confirmed one person missing after armed bandits attacked Minjibir local government area of Kano State.
Kano State Force Public Relations Officer, DSP Abdullahi Haruna, who confirmed the incident said the bandits also set a patrol vehicle ablaze.
“After the gunmen kidnapped three people we engaged them in gun battle during which they retreated, leaving two persons behind as they set out patrol van on fire,” Haruna said.

A resident, Bala Sani, explained that the gunmen arrived the town at about 12:45am on Thursday, shooting indiscriminately before abducting a businessman, Abdullahi Kalos.
As gathered by Eko Hot Blog, eyewitnesses account stated that the gunmen reportedly staked out junctions in the town and exchanged gunfire with the Police around 4:30am.
