Mr. Onah explained that the insurance package would cover accidental coverages for participants who may sustain any form of injury or damages during the festival, including compensation payments to the families of participants who may sadly pass away during the event.
He pointed out that moving across or navigating through the 12-kilometer carnival terrain can be energy-draining.
He said certain safety measures needed to be put in place to assure participating bands of their safety and, more importantly, to keep pace with international best practices.
He also announced another partnership with Yanger Games for a lottery deal, where the first three winners will go home with an astonishing cash prize of ₦10 million.
He further announced a Group Personal Accident (GPA) policy for accidental damages involving more than one participant while the festival is ongoing.
