Cameroon: Boko Haram Murder 13 Villagers Including Children

The terrorists, Boko Haram brutally assassinated thirteen innocent villagers on Friday.
Eight of them are believed by AFP to be children., EKO HOT BLOG  gathered.
The bloody attack happened when a female suicide bomber detonated a bomb in a jihadist attack on a village in northern Cameroon, said a traditional leader and a police officer.
The Far North region of Cameroon is experiencing deadly incursions from neighboring Nigeria, where a 2009 Boko Haram uprising claimed tens of thousands of lives.
Mahamat Chetima Abba, the traditional chief, or lamido, in the village of Mozogo, said the attackers showed up in the middle of the night, wielding machetes.
The panicked villagers attempted to flee to the neighbouring forest, and in the hustle and bustle, the bomber blew up her device, he said.
The story was corroborated by a member of the local defense commission, who said his group tried to fend off the attack.
“Thirteen civilians were killed, including two 4- and 5-year-old children and six adolescents.,” a regional police officer told AFP over the telephone, speaking under condition of anonymity.
Lamido verified the number, saying a woman and her three kids were part of the dead,
Both said Boko Haram was behind the attack.
The police source said that in addition to the suicide bomber, The other casualty among the assailants was a man who was killed by the self-defense force.
“They have infiltrated the population — Boko Haram inflicts increasing damage here.,” Chetima Abba said.
“Moreover, they apparently no longer have the means to carry out mass attacks with firearms.,” he said, remarking that the attackers had carried machetes.
“They are increasingly using improvised explosive devices.” he added.
