According to report from popular news media outlet, The Nation Newspaper, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) have come out in a separate interview to address the issue of insecurity, banditry, kidnapping and incessant bloodshed.
Both associations made their opinion known after the Department Of Security Service disclosed on Wednesday that some people or group are doing all they can to cause religious or ethnic crisis in the country.
According to the two associations, the secret security service of Nigeria is fully responsible for chasing after criminals and killers on the prowl across the country.

They also said that there is a need for the Department of State Service (DSS) to work hand in hand with other security agencies rather than continuously raising the red flags whenever there is an impending breach in security.
Recall that the Department of Security Service sometime last month raised an alarm that some people working with external forces were plotting on carrying out religious riot in Lagos, Oyo, Rivers, Kano, Sokoto, Kaduna, Plateau, and the five Southeast states of Anambra, Abia, Imo, Enugu, and Ebonyi.
The Christian Association Of Nigeria and the Islamic Council spoke with one accord, tasking the Department of Security Network to go after killers and those causing chaos in the country instead of continuously raising alarm of impending chaos.
