Captain Yusuf Gobir, the Chairman of Kwara Aviation College in Ilorin, has passed away.
Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq announced the news in a statement released by his spokesman, Rafiu Ajakaye, on Saturday, expressing that this loss is personal to him.
“It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Captain Muhammad Ahmad Yusuf-Gobir, Chairman of Ilorin Aviation College and Sarkin Gobir of Ilorin Emirate.

We submit to the will of Allah, who gives, nurtures, and takes life, and extend our heartfelt condolences to the people of Ilorin Emirate, especially to the family of the esteemed title holder during this difficult time.”
The governor praised Gobir’s significant contributions as a distinguished technocrat and administrator, highlighting his remarkable achievements in transforming the aviation college in a short period.
He prayed for Allah to grant him a place in al-Jannah Firdaus and to support his family during this trying time.
