EkoHotBlog reports that the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele has urged State Governors to make their States viable for economic development.
Emefiele who made the plea on Thursday, at the inauguration of the Rivers State Cassava Processing Plant in Port Harcourt, said, this will reduce their dependence on FAAC allocations.
The CBN Governor with reference to the Southern region Governors urged them to take advantage of the CBN N1.5 billion facility for land clearing to open up States for agriculture.
EkoHotBlog gathered that Emefiele said this will also boost the States’ domestic revenue mobilisation drive.
