The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on Monday kept its Monetary Policy Rate (MPR) unchanged at 12.5 percent.

The CBN governor, Godwin Emefiele, announced this at the end of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting in Abuja.
Ten members of the MPC in attendance voted unanimously to retain the Cash Reserve Ratio (CRR) at 27.5 percent, Liquidity Ratio at 30 percent, as well as the Asymmetric Corridor around the MPR at +200/-500 basis points.
