Recall that a Nigerian Senator, Elijah Abbo had in 2019 descended on the woman after she pleaded with him not to physically assault the shopowner whom the senator had accused of insulting him. He said the shopowner called him a drunk.

The attack happened as an armed mobile police officer looked on, and instead made attempt to arrest the victim.

Following the occurrence, a FCT High Court fined the senator, asking him to pay N50 million to the complainant, Osimibibra Warmate.
A video again spotted how Abbo had again purportedly slapped a young man in his hometown has been shared online.
In the video, he was seen angrily scolding a young man before exiting his car to slap the man repeatedly in Mubi, Adamawa state.
In a related development, a 16-year-old secondary schoolgirl had alleged in a video on Facebook that Abiodun Abudu-Balogun, the suspended Commissioner of Environment in Ogun state tried to rape her.
She said, Abudu-Balogun, who was a member of the House of Representatives, connived with her uncle and a teacher on December 31, 2020 to lure her to the commissioner’s residence at Ita Otu, Ogun Waterside LG, on the pretence that he would assist her secure a job as a computer operator.
The girl narrated how Abudu-Balogun allegedly fondled her breasts and tried to force himself on her when she refused to succumb.
She said when she screamed, he forced N2,000 into her hands and asked one Austin, a teacher, to take her home.
The recent development of the CCT Chairman descending on a security guard has raised a question as to whether Nigerian leaders are intoxicated by power to act wrongly upon getting into position.
Nigerians in their reactions took to microblogging site, Twitter to express their reactions. While some showed their disappointment in Danladi, some others showed how surprised they were that he blamed the happening on Biafra.
