CEO of Gokada, Fahim Saleh Found Dead In His New York City Apartment
Popular Tech entrepreneur, and CEO of Gokada, Fahim Saleh, was found dead on Tuesday, July 14, 2020, in his New York apartment.
The body of the 33-year-old was found headless and dismembered in his luxury Lower East Side apartment by his sister who became worried after not hearing from him in a day.
She also discovered in the apartment, a power saw which was still plugged in was and was used in the entrepreneur’s murder.
According to several reports, police believe they have surveillance footage of the suspect entering the building and then using the elevator with Saleh up until the seventh floor.

However, the police, noted that the surveillance footage showed a suspect who wore gloves and a masked and suspected to be very professional judging by his strategy.
The footage captured moments when the door of the elevator opened directly into Saleh’s apartment, he was seen to fall to the floor immediately as he walked into his home from a possible gunshot.
The New York Police Department spokesman Sgt. Carlos Nieves said. “We have a torso, a head that’s been removed, arms, and legs. Everything is still on the scene. We don’t have a motive,” She came calling Tuesday because she hadn’t seen her brother in a day, then discovered his dismembered corpse,
“An elevator surveillance camera may have caught the victim’s last moments, sources said. It shows the victim getting into the elevator Monday, followed quickly by a second man, dressed in a suit, wearing gloves, a hat and a mask over his face. After the victim walked out onto his floor, he fell immediately, possibly shot or stunned.”
“The perp had a suitcase. He was very professional,” one police source said.
Speaking on Fahim’s death, Pathao CEO Hussain Elius said, “We are shocked and saddened to hear the reports of the death of Fahim Saleh, one of the founding members of the Pathao team,”
“Fahim believed in the potential for technology to transform lives in Bangladesh and beyond. He saw the promise in U.S, when all we had was a common purpose and a shared vision. He was, and will forever remain, an incredible inspiration for Pathao and our entire ecosystem,” he added.
Fahim Saleh, a student of Bentley University, founded several startups including Pathao, Gokada, Adventure Capital, and KickBack Apps.
Most recently, he started Gokada, a motorcycle ride-sharing company in Lagos, Nigeria, but the company faced setbacks and mass layoffs after Lagos banned companies like his in January.
