Edo State Chairman of the Caretaker Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Col David Imuse (Rtd.), says the party will appeal Saturday’s ruling by the Federal High Court.
Recall that Justice Ahmed Mohammed dismissed the alleged certificate forgery suit filed against the governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, by the All Progressives Party (APC) and a chieftain of the party, Williams Edobor.
Imuse, while reacting to the judgment, in a press statement signed by the State Publicity Secretary, Chris Azebanwan, said the party’s legal team would immediately move to study the judgement and file an appeal.
He expressed hope that the judiciary will remain upright and always ensure that the will of the people and rule of law prevail.

“We thank God also granting all the lawyers and the judge very good health with which they all contributed to bring the whole litigation process to this interesting stage. It is not the end of the road,” he added.
Meanwhile, Col Imuse has appealed to all APC members in the state to be calm and to go about their normal activities without animosity as the party appeals the verdict.
