Super Eagles B coach Imama Amapakabo has said that his players failed to take the chances that came their way in the match against Togo.
The Nigeria side failed to qualify for the Championship of African Nations (CHAN) as they could not turn the table against Sparrow Hawks of Togo in the second leg of the qualifier played at the Agege Stadium in Lagos on Saturday having lost the first leg 1-4 in Lome, Togo.
Despite the 2-0 win at the Agege Stadium on Saturday, Nigeria still failed to qualify for the competition finals in Cameroon.

While praising players for playing to instructions, Amapakabo believed the scoreline would have been better if they had converted their chances.
“The players played according to instruction and what we had practised in the last week and I’m glad we were able to keep the Togolese where we wanted them, unfortunately, we had the chances but were unable to convert them to give us qualification,” Amapakabo told reporters.
This will make it the third time Super Eagles B will be failing to qualify for the competition since its inception.
