Ghana is set to host Nigeria in the first leg between December 20 and 22, 2024, with the return leg taking place in Nigeria the following week.

The winner of the two-leg fixture will secure a spot at CHAN 2025, which will be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.

Speaking with NFF TV, Eguavoen expressed his satisfaction with the technical abilities displayed by the players.

“Very impressive, only two training sessions, but you can see that technically they are very good,” Eguavoen said, per NFF TV.

“We still have a lot of work to do because they are coming from different clubs. We have to try to see how we can blend them into one unit.”

The CHAN is set aside for footballers plying their trade in their country’s domestic league.
