Mrs. Ladoja urged Nigerians to use the opportunity presented by Saturday’s presidential election to vote for credible candidates who can bring about positive change in the country. She emphasized the need for a free, credible, and fair election that would ensure that the system works and enable the electorate to effect change.
Expressing her dissatisfaction with the level of women’s participation in governance, Mrs. Ladoja called on men to be more considerate and supportive of women’s political aspirations. She stressed that women’s representation in governance was crucial to achieving a more equitable and just society.
Mrs. Ladoja also emphasized the need for Nigerians to avoid fighting and to engage in peaceful and prayerful conduct during the election period. She urged voters to choose candidates who they believe can solve the problems facing the country and reduce the suffering of the masses.
She stated that if Atiku Abubakar or Peter Obi were the candidates best suited to address the challenges facing Nigeria, Nigerians should vote for them. Mrs. Ladoja concluded by reiterating her belief that the 2023 elections provide a unique opportunity for Nigerians to effect positive change in the country.

“I will advise everyone to go out. There is nothing to fight on. We don’t have to fight each other. There is nothing prayer cannot do. Let us make Nigeria work.
“I want us to pray and vote for whoever that they think can solve the problem, someone that can reduce the suffering of the masses, because, with what is on ground, we are in a big dilemma.
“People should vote for people who they think can solve the problem. If it is Atiku, let them vote for him, if it is Obi, let them vote for him because people are suffering. All of us are in the same shoe, we buy things in the same market.
“I am not satisfied with the level of women’s participation in governance. We don’t even have up to 10 per cent. Let our men be considerate. They are not supporting us. It is the men that are cheating us” Mutiat Olayinka Ladoja said.
