Chaos In Benin As Residents Protest Over Fuel Scarcity (Video)

  • Commuters in Benin have taken to the street to protest over fuel scarcity.

  • The Protesters blocked the busy Sapele road and Ugbowo road to show their grievance.

  • According to a resident in the state, fuel was sold for over 600/litre on Monday morning.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that Nigerians have come out in large numbers to protest the continuous scarcity of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly called petrol, in Benin, Edo State capital.

This online media platform gathered that protesters on Monday morning blocked the ever-busy Sapele road and Ugbowo road, where the University of Benin is located.

According to reports, the youths took to the streets to kick against the outrageous amount they have to part with to purchase fuel for their vehicles, generators and other appliances.

A resident in the state speaking to Naija News stated that he bought fuel for as high as 600 per litre on Monday morning.
