Charles Olumo Abeokuta
Nigerian film icon, Abdulsalam Sanyaolu, popularly known as Charles Olumo or Baba Agbako, was buried on Thursday in, Ogun State, following his passing at the age of 101.
A celebrated figure in the Yoruba film industry, Baba Agbako’s burial was held at his residence, attended by close family, friends, and notable figures in Nollywood. Among those present were veteran actors Idowu Philips, known as Iya Rainbow, and Foluke Daramola, who came to pay their respects.

Baba Agbako, whose acting career began in 1953, was renowned for his powerful portrayals in films like Taxi Driver, Jagun, Aiye, and Jayesinmi, where his intense on-screen presence left a lasting impression on audiences. Before his career in acting, he worked as a mechanic and amateur boxer, later returning to film locations to inspire younger actors even in his later years.
