Check Out What NIMC Asked People With Old National Identity Card To Do
- NIMC has released another fresh update on its official twitter handle to those that are using old National Identity Card.
- The commission said those that are concern should be notified that the Old National Identity Card will no longer be in used.

The Federal government of Nigeria under the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari since the year 2020 ordered Nigerians to enroll for the National Identification Number in order to be able to connect their Sims to it.
The initiative was adopted by Federal Government in order to curb the spate of crimes, fraud and insecurity in the country with the use of data.
Following the development, Nigerians were advised to visit any nearest office of National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) to enroll before the deadline on February 9, 2021.
However many Nigerians have continued to lament over the difficulty and the stress it takes to enroll for their NIN considering the lots of crowd in various NIMC branches.

Meanwhile those who have NIN already can easily link it with their Sims using codes provided by all network providers.
As the enrolment is still ongoing, NIMC has released another fresh update on its official twitter account handle to those that are using old National Identity Card.
The commission said those that are concern should be notified that the Old National Identity Card will no longer be in used, hence they are advised to visit NIN enrolment center to obtain their NIN and identified for life.
