EKO HOT BLOG reports that Chelsea are set to move for Bayern Munich star Serge Gnabry after missing out on Raphinha.
According to The Mail, Chelsea has now made ‘tentative enquires’ into Gnabry, whose long-term future at Bayern is in doubt after rejecting a new contract from the German champions.
The Blues had agreed on a fee to sign the Leeds United star but Raphinha has his heart set on a move to Barcelona with his agent Deco intent on pushing through a move to the Camp Nou.
It has left Chelsea to explore other options and while the club are close to wrapping up a deal for Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling, they are still eager to add another attacking option.
Gnabry spent five years at Arsenal before returning to Germany in 2016, earning a move to Bayern Munich a year later.
The 26-year-old has enjoyed four impressive seasons with Bayern, scoring 17 times last season.
Chelsea meanwhile has already allowed Romelu Lukaku to leave the club this summer with AC Milan in talks over a deal to bring Hakim Ziyech to the club.
Chelsea are open to letting Ziyech leave this summer but wants the Serie A giants to agree to a loan deal that includes the obligation to buy the winger.
