Chelsea ‘Offered’ Leandro Trossard As Liverpool Make Transfer Decision
Chelsea has been ‘offered’ the chance to sign Leandro Trossard from Brighton.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that Brighton winger, Leandro Trossard has reportedly been offered to Chelsea ahead of the January transfer window, while Liverpool have also been contacted regarding the 28-year-old’s availability next month.
Trossard is a player that Graham Potter knows well from his time in charge of the Seagulls and has enjoyed a brilliant start to the campaign at club level, scoring nine goals and registering another three assists in all competitions thus far.

Chelsea have been credited with a desire to land Trossard since Potter was appointed to replace Thomas Tuchel at Stamford Bridge earlier this year, with the Blues on the lookout for attacking reinforcements in order to prepare their squad for the all-important Premier League run-in.
Trossard’s representatives have already reached out to the west Londoners to offer his services in the January window, although they are yet to make a firm decision on whether or not to pursue a deal over the coming weeks, according to CBS Sports.
It is said that Trossard’s camp have been “actively and aggressively” exploring their options in the market as they look to capitalise on his strong recent form by securing a high-profile move next month.
Liverpool have also been offered the chance to sign the Brighton forward but are not considering a bid as things stand, with the Reds not interested in bringing him to Anfield in the near future.
Chelsea, meanwhile, are still believed to be keen on Trossard but have plenty of other irons in the fire, which suggests that he could be overlooked by those in power at Stamford Bridge between now and the end of January.
The Belgian is thought to be on Potter’s list of mid-season targets but has not been identified as a top priority, although the idea of a move to Chelsea cannot yet be ruled out.
It remains to be seen whether Chelsea will eventually decide to firm up their interest in Trossard, who is only contracted to Brighton until the end of the season and is yet to sign a new deal in spite of the Seagulls’ best efforts.
He will be able to speak to foreign clubs regarding a pre-contract agreement from the start of next month, though, which suggests that he could end up moving to Europe if the Blues choose not to bring him to west London over the next few weeks.
