The west London club has been linked with several potential candidates for the position, including Pochettino, Julian Nagelsmann and Luis Enrique. However, according to a report from The Independent, Pochettino has impressed Chelsea’s hierarchy, including Boehly, with the clarity of his vision for the club.
Despite Chelsea’s management insisting that there is “no favourite as of yet,” the club has held several rounds of talks with both Pochettino and Nagelsmann. The search for a new manager is a crucial one for Chelsea, who will be hoping to bounce back from a disappointing season that saw them finish outside the top four in the Premier League and miss out on Champions League qualification.
