Chelsea vs Man United: Premier League Preview And Prediction
- Chelsea and Manchester United will go head-to-head in a high-profile affair at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League on Sunday.
- Man United are in second place, six points above the Blues.
- Chelsea will be looking to stretch their unbeaten run under new manager, Thomas Tuchel, to nine matches.
Man United, who have won three and drawn one of their last four matches at Stamford Bridge, will be hoping to keep up the good run by defeating Chelsea.
As gathered by EKO HOT BLOG , Man United are in second place, six points above the Blues and a win will see them extend that lead.
Chelsea played out a 1–1 draw with Southampton in the league last week before beating Atletico Madrid 1–0 in the Champions League in midweek. Quite a good result before welcoming the Red Devils to the Bridge.
United, meanwhile, eased to a 3–1 win against Newcastle in the league last weekend but were held to a goalless draw by Real Sociedad in the Champions League. That didn’t stop them from advancing to the round of 16, though.
Team News:
Defender Thiago Silva is a doubt for this one, given his thigh injury.
Meanwhile, Phil Jones, Juan Mata and Paul Pogba are absent for United, while Edinson Cavani, Daniel James and Scott McTominay and Van de Beek are all doubts.
Prediction:
United have scored 7 goals in their last 3 games across all competitions, while Chelsea have found the back of the net in each of their last seven competitive games.
Both teams are confident in front of goal and should both be able to get on the scoresheet on Sunday.
