EKO HOT BLOG reports that played on Tuesday night at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán in Seville, the game saw Chelsea add the one missing European title to their collection, having previously won the UEFA Champions League, Europa League, and the now-defunct Cup Winners’ Cup.
The match started with early drama as Abde Ezzalzouli fired Real Betis ahead in the 9th minute, converting a sharp assist from Isco. The home crowd erupted, but Chelsea refused to be rattled.
The Premier League side steadily grew into the contest, dominating possession and creating chances. Their persistence paid off in the 65th minute when Enzo Fernández powered home a header from Cole Palmer’s accurate delivery to level the score.
Palmer, who was instrumental throughout the game, turned provider again five minutes later, setting up Nicolas Jackson for a calm finish to hand Chelsea the lead.
Jadon Sancho, introduced in the second half, extended the lead in the 83rd minute with a brilliant solo effort, before Moisés Caicedo sealed the win in stoppage time with a stunning strike from distance.
A European First
With this triumph, Chelsea have now won:
-
UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup (1971, 1998)
-
UEFA Champions League (2012, 2021)
-
UEFA Europa League (2013, 2019)
-
UEFA Europa Conference League (2025)
The victory marks a historic clean sweep of UEFA’s top-tier competitions — an unprecedented feat by any European club.
For manager Enzo Maresca, the silverware provides a timely response to early-season scrutiny and offers renewed optimism ahead of the new campaign.
