“Child For Sale”: Couple Attempts to Auction Son to Fund Canada Trip

A couple in Lagos has been arrested for attempting to sell their two-year-old son to raise funds for a trip to Canada.

Eko Hot Blog gathered that the pair, aged 28 and 22, were apprehended at Isolo General Hospital on Tuesday after declaring their intention to sell their child.

According to Lagos Police Command spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the couple was arrested by officers from the Isolo Divisional Police Officer (DPO) after receiving a tip-off about their plan.

Hundeyin stated, “Upon receipt of the information, operatives from the station moved swiftly to the hospital where they were about to sell their child. The baby’s age is two, and he has been rescued.”
