Another boat accident has occurred in Zamfara State, claiming the lives of four children.
This tragic incident happened just a week after a similar accident in the Gummi area of the state, where at least 40 people died.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the latest accident took place in Mashayar Garba Rogo, Bukkuyum town, when a boat carrying over 50 people capsized.
Two bodies have been recovered, and two people are still missing. Twelve survivors are receiving treatment at Bukkuyum General Hospital.
One survivor said the boat was carrying mostly small children and a few adults who were crossing the river to their farms.
The boat started to behave strangely, and despite the captains’ efforts, it capsized.
The local government official, Hon. Nasiru Muhammad, blamed the accident on overloading, panic, and not following boat safety rules.
He said the government is helping the survivors and taking steps to prevent future accidents. Experts are searching the river for the missing people.
