Christmas: Kaduna CAN Harps on Prayers, Sacrifice and Obedience to Constituted Authority

The Chairman Christian Association Nigeria, CAN in Kaduna State Rev. Dr. John Joseph Hayab has called on Christians to use the Christmas period to pray for continuous peace and harmony among Nigerians in the country.

The CAN Chairman who stated this in his Christmas message in Kaduna urged Nigerian Christians to pray for the country to overcome the myriad of challenges facing her, especially on issues of economy, insecurity and the COVID-19 pandemic among other diseases ravaging the country

The Christian Clergyman enjoined Christians and Nigerians from all endeavors to imbibe the teachings and exemplary lifestyle of Jesus Christ whom he described as the Prince of Peace.

Rev. Hayab stressed the need for Nigerians to use the Yuletide to also pray for their leaders for God’s guidance and wisdom that would enable them deliver on the country’s mandate especially on welfare and security to promote United and a progressive Nigeria.

According to him, period like this calls for sober reflection, pointing out that Nigerians must be their brothers’ keepers at all times toward ensuring peace, unity and development.

Hayab said Nigerians regardless of tribe or religion must work together toward achieving the dreams of their past leaders who made huge sacrifices for the Nation to stand as one entity.

The CAN Chairman explained that the year 2020 came with alot of challenges including the Nobel Covid-19 pandemic among others and stressed the need for prayers and observance of the government established protocols to overcome the Virus.
