Eko hot blog reports that A recent Russian air attack on Kharkiv, Ukraine, resulted in a high-rise residential building being hit, leaving at least 15 people injured, including two children.
The strike, which occurred in the city center, caused significant damage to the 10th floor of the 12-storey apartment block.
Local officials are currently assessing the situation, and it’s unclear what type of weapon was used in the attack.
According to Ihor Terekhov, the mayor of Kharkiv, rescue operations are underway to locate and assist the injured.
Unfortunately, one person has been hospitalized in critical condition, as reported by Oleh Syniehubov, the regional governor.
Additionally, a fire broke out at another site targeted in the strike, affecting at least ten garages in the area.
Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second-largest city, and its surrounding region have faced ongoing attacks from Russian forces.
However, the frequency and intensity of these strikes have escalated in recent months, causing significant damage to civilian infrastructure and posing a grave threat to the local population.
