Ckay’s EP Debuts At Number 4 on Billboard

Nigerian singer, songwriter and producer Chukwuka Ekweani, famously known as CKay, has debuted on the Billboard World Album Chart after his EP ‘Ckay the First’ made a first-time appearance at No. 4 on the chart

This comes after an eventful month, which has seen Ckay become the most streamed African artist for September 2021.

The Warner South Africa music producer cum artiste has been making global waves with his smash hit ‘Love Nwatiti’, whose remix (featuring Axel & Dj Yo!) is currently the most shazamed song in the world, while the original song is cooling at number 50 in the Billboard Hot 100, spending two consecutive weeks on the chart.

In the most recent development, which is a major win for CKay and Afrobeats as a genre, his ‘CKay The First’ EP, which was released in 2019, debuted at the fourth position on the Billboard World Albums chart, trailing Wizkid’s ‘Made in Lagos’ which is also having a great run, having spent a staggering forty-seven weeks on the chart.

The 8-track EP ‘CKay the First’ features, Blaqbonez, Barry Jhay, BOJ and DJ Lambo.
