Clash Of Dates With Kaduna Fair Leads To Extension Of Enugu Trade Fair
The management of Enugu Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, ECCIMA, has extended the period for Enugu Trade Fair by two days.
The adjustment in the period earmarked for this year’s fair, which is the 30th edition of the Enugu International Trade Fair, was due to a clash of dates with Kaduna Trade Fair. Initially billed to last ten days, between April 5th and 15th, an extension has been effected, meaning it will now end on April 17.
President of the Chamber, Mr. Emeka Udeze, announced the extension on Friday as the fair was declared open by the Deputy Governor of Enugu State on behalf of Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.
Udeze disclosed that the extension was necessitated by the clashing of the Fair with that of the ongoing Kaduna International Trade Fair ending on Sunday, April 7, 2019.
“May I announce that because of the Kaduna Trade Fair that has been going on and will end on Sunday, we have extended the closing date of the 30th Enugu International Trade Fair by two days. The Fair will now end on April 17, 2019,” the ECCIMA president said.
In his address, Udeze called on the Federal Government to expedite action in making the permanent site of the fair a befitting one like that of Kaduna and Lagos.
