Clinching Gold At African Games, Team Nigeria Dominates Women’s Wrestling.

Eko hot blog reports that Nigeria’s female wrestlers showcased their dominance at the 13th All African Games in Ghana, securing an impressive six clinching gold medals in the freestyle wrestling category. Led by Olympics silver medalist Blessing Oborodudu and world champion Odunayo Adekuoroye, Team Nigeria swept the competition with outstanding performances.

President of the Nigeria Wrestling Federation (NWF), Dr. Daniel Igali, hailed the team’s remarkable achievements, describing their performance as “incredible.” Igali expressed optimism about Nigeria’s medal prospects if the wrestlers maintain their current form.

“I’ve been very impressed with the way they wrestled, and I think if they continue in that trajectory, Nigeria should be hopeful of many clinching gold medals,” stated Igali.

He also took the opportunity to appreciate the support from Nigerians and the Bayelsa State government for their continuous backing of the wrestling team’s activities. Additionally, Igali commended President Bola Tinubu for his recognition of athletes’ hard work and expressed hope that such gestures would extend to those representing the country at the African Games.
