Ekohotblog reports that the Concerned Nation Builders Initiative (CNI), under the leadership of Chief Idris Tele Olukoya, organized a significant fasting and prayer session for the Epe Division.
The event, which brought together religious leaders from various faiths, was held at the residence of Alhaji Seriki Akanni Bamu, the APC Apex Leader in Epe.
In a rare display of unity, the League of Imams, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), and Traditional Worshippers joined forces in prayer, lifting their voices in unison for the peace and progress of Epe Division, Lagos State, and Nigeria as a whole.
This interfaith gathering underscored the community’s belief in the power of collective prayer.
During the event, Chief Idris Tele Olukoya addressed the gathering, highlighting the numerous initiatives CNI has undertaken to support the people of Epe.
He mentioned the organization’s efforts in providing welfare, promoting education, and recognizing the achievements of distinguished sons and daughters of the community.
However, despite these efforts, Chief Olukoya expressed concern that more work remains to be done.
“We have been doing our best every year, yet it feels like progress is still lacking,” Chief Olukoya stated.
“That’s why the CNI team decided that prayer is the next step.
We realized that we had not yet sought divine intervention collectively, and so we brought together Christian, Islamic, and Traditional leaders to pray in one accord, believing that God will listen to our prayers.”
The session, which was attended by a large number of community members, aimed to seek divine guidance and blessings for the development of the Epe Division.
The participants expressed their hope that the unity demonstrated at the event would inspire positive changes in the region.
As the prayers concluded, there was a renewed sense of hope and commitment among the attendees, with many expressing their belief that this united appeal to God would bring about the desired transformation in Epe and beyond.
