Comestic Surgeon Convicted
EKO HOT BLOG reports that according to a report by FIJ, the Federal High Court in Lagos State has rendered a conviction against Dr. Anuoluwapo Adepoju, a medical doctor and the founder of MedContour Services Ltd.
The conviction stems from a failed plastic surgery performed by Dr. Adepoju in 2020, which tragically resulted in the death of Nneka Onwuzuligbo.
Former Director-General of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, Babatunde Irukera, took to Twitter on Friday to disclose this development.
In his tweet under the handle #TundeIrukera, he expressed pride in personally prosecuting Dr. Anu Adepoju and her medical practice.
Despite his departure from the commission, the case culminated in a conviction, reinforcing the accountability framework applicable to all members of society, whether professionals or otherwise.
This outcome reflects the ideal functioning and evolution of society.
