The National Association of Nigerian Students/Judiciary Council Chamber, had just concluded its election, where Comrade Wahab Ogungbesan defeated Comrade Lawal with 5vites as against 3vote.
The Lagos convention election took place at Michael Otedola College of Education (Mocped) in Noforija, on Saturday.
The arrival and accreditation started at about 1pm.
Students Union Presidents/Senators led by the Senator of the Host Institution (MOCPED) introduced themselves to the stakeholders and observers present at the convention ground.
The opening prayer was said by Comrade Akindele Sodiq at exactly 2:47pm, while, National Anthem and Aluta Anthem was recited which was led by Senator Alagbe David Sewanu (Doxology) at about 2:51pm.
Comrade Dauda Lawal was nominated by senator Ashade Basit of Lasu as convention Chairman and Senator Shabi Awal of MOCPED nominated Comrade Ogungbesan Wahab.
Votes were cast and Comrade Lawal defeated Comrade Wahab with 5 votes against 3 votes.
Comrade Lawal appointed Comrade Tobi Michael from MOCPED as convention Clerk and Comrade Durodola Ajibola from AOCOED as Chairman of the Communique drafting committee. Comrade Asiwaju Aluta from LASPOTECH and Comrade Badmus Oladipupo of Lasu were also appointed as members of the Convention Communique drafting committee.
The motion for 5minutes recess was moved by Senator Emmanuel Olamide and seconded by Senator Alagbe David Sewanu (Doxology) at exactly 3:25pm.

After the recess, the JCC LAGOS Executives were dissolved by the convention Chairman before announcing the commencement of the election proper.
The Vice Chairman,
Comrade Oladele Azeez was nominated by senator Semasa of SACOED and he contested without opposition. He has 7 votes (YES) and 1 (NO).
Comrade Oladele Azeez emerged as the elected Vice-Chairman NANS JCC Lagos executives for 2020 convention.
The General Secretary
Senator Shabi Awal of mocped nominated Comrade Arogundade Ibrahim seconded by Senator Semasa of oceanography while senator Emmanuel Olamide nominated Comrade Akindele David and was seconded by Senator Alagbe David.
After casting of votes by the senators, Comrade Akindele David has 6votes while Comrade Arogundade Ibrahim has 2votes. Comrade Akindele David emerged as the elected General Secretary of NANS JCC Lagos for 2020 convention.
The Chairman,
Senator Makanjuola of YABATECH nominated Comrade Akintoye Ifeoluwa Peter of YABATECH and the nomination was seconded by Senator Semasa of oceanography.
Senator Alagbe David Sewanu nominated Comrade Ogunsanya Rasheed and was seconded by Senator Shabi Awal of Mocped. After listening to the manifesto of the chairmanship aspirants. It was followed by the election proper.
Comrade Ogunsanya has 7votes while Comrade Akintoye has 1vote. Comrade Ogunsanya Rasheed emerged as the Chairman-elect of NANS JCC Lagos 2020 convention.
Senator Alagbe David moved a motion for 10minutes recess and was seconded by senator Emmanuel Olamide.
The convention resumed back around 4:11pm. The motion for the convention to proceed was moved by Senator Orabiyi Ayobami of UNILAG and seconded by Senator Makanjuola.
The Financial Secretary,
Senator Ashade Basit nominated Comrade Adegboye from UNILAG and the nomination was seconded by Senator Emmanuel Olamide. While Senator Semasa of SACOED nominated Comrade Akindele Sodiq and was seconded by senator Ridwan of oceanography.
Comrade Adegboye had 7votes while Comrade Akindele had 1vote. Comrade Adegboye of UNILAG emerged as the Financial Secretary of NANS JCC Lagos 2020 convention.
The PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER,
Senator Ridwan of Oceanography nominated Comrade Agboola Segun and his nomination was seconded by Senator Semasa of SACOED. Senator Alagbe David nominated Comrade Akamo from LASU and it was seconded by senator Emmanuel Olamide.
Comrade Agboola has 5votes while Comrade Akamo has 2votes and there was 1void. Comrade Agboola Segun emerged as the PRO of NANS JCC Lagos 2020 convention.
The Special Duties,
Senator Alagbe David nominated Comrade Tajudeen Ibrahim from AOCOED and his nomination was seconded by Senator Ashade Basit of Lasu.
There was no other nomination. The election was conducted and Comr. Tajudeen Ibrahim has 6YES, while there was 1NO, and 1void. Comr. Tajudeen Ibrahim automatically became the winner for the office of the Director of Special Duties.
Sports,
Senator Ashade nominated Comrade Ipese Olugbemi of Lasu and it was seconded by senator Alagbe David. Comr. Ipese Olugbemi contested without opposition. He has 7YES and 1NO.
The Director of Program,
Senator Makanjuola of YABATECH nominated Comrade Akintoye Ifeoluwa Peter and his nomination was seconded by Senator Orabiyi of UNILAG. Comrade Akintoye Ifeoluwa contested unopposed. He has 8YES and became the elected Director of Program of NANS JCC Lagos 2020, convention.
The Director of Welfare,
Senator Alagbe David nominated McCarty Olatunji of Lasu seconded by Senator Shabi Awal of mocped. Senator Emmanuel Olamide nominated Comrade Oseni seconded by Senator Ridwan.
Comrade McCarty of Lasu has 6votes while Comrade Oseni has 2votes. Comrade McCarty Olatunji of Lasu emerged as the Director of Welfare.
All the newly elected executives of NANS JCC Lagos at the 2020 convention held at Micheal Otedola College of Primary Education, Noforija, Epe, Lagos were asked to come outside and were all congratulated by the convention chairman.
The Chairman-elect, Comrade Ogunsanya Rasheed appreciated the convention Chairman and the management of MOCPED for giving Lagos students a befitting convention that will go down in the history of the association as the most free, fair and peaceful convention ever witnessed.
After the acceptance speech of the elected Chairman, the convention was declared closed by the convention chairman at exactly 5:23pm.
