In a concerted effort at ensuring a cleaner environment, the Alimosho General Hospital, Igando, on Thursday, commenced the fumigation of all its clinics, offices and wards.
The Medical Director; Dr. Madewa Adebajo stated that the advent of COVID-19 pandemic has triggered stronger measures at curtailing its potential spread across the hospital.

He also disclosed that all healthcare providers within the facility were adequately supplied with Personal Protective Equipment following continuous sensitisation on control measures and effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Adebajo informed that the hospital had installed 20 by 20 sized tents at all its major waiting areas to ensure the social distancing advocacy by the Lagos State Government.
He reiterated that despite the State’s continuous advocacy on COVID-19, mild cases were yet to be presented at the hospital, possibly due to fear of stigmatisation, stressing that the facility is still operating a 24-hour scheme for all patients.
