Coronavirus: Niger State Government Lifts Lockdown Order For Juma’at Service

The Niger State Government has suspended the lockdown in the state to allow for Friday Juma’at service.

The state made the announcement through the Information Officer, Lawal Tanko, on behalf of the Secretary to the Government of Niger State and Chairman, State task Force on COVID-19.

According to the statement, the Juma’at prayer is expected to hold between 11am to 3pm under strict observance of all the precautionary measures such as using hand sanitizers, face masks, hand washing facilities (soap, and water), maintaining social distancing and avoiding contact base greetings.

The statement also advised Muslims to adhere strictly to the precautionary measure taken by the Government on the containment of coronavirus pandemic in the state.
