Coronavirus: Sanwo-Olu, Emefiele, Test Negative

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has tested negative for Coronavirus.

Announcing the news via his verified Twitter handle @jidesanwoolu,  the governor said it is important he gets tested to ensure that nothing distracts him from leading Lagos in a period like this.

His family members and aides have eluded the virus as well.

“As a responsible leader, it was important that I get tested for #COVID19 to ensure nothing distracts me from my role of leading Lagos during this period. I am happy to announce that my result has returned NEGATIVE. My family and aides are negative as well“, he tweeted.

Meanwhile, Governor of Central Bank, Godwin Emefiele has also tested negative to the virus.

Emefiele’s test result was confirmed in a tweet on the official CBN Twitter handle.

The COVID-19 test conducted on the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr. Godwin Emefiele, CON, has today returned a negative result.

As of Thursday, Lagos State has 98 confirmed cases of coronavirus, 78 active cases, 19 patients discharged and one patient moved to the United States.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, on Thursday said seven new cases were confirmed in Lagos State and three new cases in Abuja, totaling 184 confirmed cases across the country.
