Job Title: Project Quantity Surveyor
Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Job Summary
The successful candidate will work closely with all stakeholders to monitor ongoing construction projects, ensuring timely completion within budget while maintaining quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents.
Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best prices and terms.
Manage project budgets, forecasting and monitoring expenses.
Maintain accurate financial records of all project-related transactions.
Advise on procurement strategies, risk management, and cost-saving measures.
Conduct quantity take-offs based on markings and RCP drawings.
Identify and resolve discrepancies between BOQ, drawings, and contract specifications.
Engage in pre-tender activities with clients, architects, and project managers.
Prepare initial quotes and contracts for the sales team.
Coordinate with the design team for architectural and service drawing analysis.
Manage valuations, claims, and variations during construction.
Conduct feasibility studies and value engineering exercises.
Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve value for money and optimize project outcomes.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying or cost consulting, preferably within the construction sector.
Deep knowledge of industry practices, regulations, and standards, including National Building Code (NBC), ANSI/ASHRAE for HVAC, and LEED guidelines.
Familiarity with contract administration and legal aspects of construction.
Experience with general contracting, design-build, and value-based projects in commercial, residential, and retail sectors.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and ability to validate quantities from drawings.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and project management skills.
Experience with BIM and quantity takeoff software.
Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards.
Professional membership or certification in quantity surveying or construction management is an advantage.
