EKO HOT BLOG reports that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, has stated that he will be the brave leader that Nigeria requires to address its difficulties.

Tinubu, a presidential candidate, said this in Ikeja GRA on Wednesday during a one-day seminar organized by Mudashiru Obasa, Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, for serving Speakers and previous Speakers and deputies.

Tinubu stated that he was the first state governor to grant autonomy to the House at an event themed ‘The legislature, changing times, and Nigeria’s democratic path,’ which was attended by 15 serving House of Assembly Speakers from APC-governed states.

“We have the brilliance, the resources, and the dedication,” he remarked. We don’t only know how to run the race and maintain the progress gear. Nigeria requires me just as much as I require Nigeria. Nigeria requires severe and courageous reforms to revenue, and I am that courageous individual. I was taught to be brave as a child, and it has served me well. As President of Nigeria, I want to bring the same to bear.”

“In the face of tyranny, I have suffered the bush route, lived without a family, and spent resources; I have withstood the bush path, lived without a family, and wasted resources.” Making Nigeria one is a difficult assignment, and who can accomplish it? I am one of them. I am the first governor to allow the House of Assembly authority. I made it through a lack of funding from the local government. We didn’t have to suffer, and we didn’t have to cut back. In the face of hardship, we achieved progress.

“From the Federation Accounts Allocation Committee, I inherited N600 million in Internally Generated Revenue with no allocation. But we made it, and Lagos is now the largest economy in the world. That is why I am pleading with you to help me do a favour for Nigeria.

“We are in a really difficult period in the country, and we must get the future leadership right.” We need to think about the issue and bring in someone with a clear vision and the ability to deliver. Our country’s rapid development hinges on our ability to think, act, and be daring. “I am a doer and a thinker.”

Tinubu, according to Obasa, is a talent hunter and the brains behind the state’s legislative autonomy.

“I’m standing in front of you because Asiwaju is a talent scout.” He is someone who will encourage you, promote you to a position of leadership, and provide you with opportunities to succeed. “I can confirm that he is the driving force behind the legislative autonomy that we have today in the Lagos State House of Assembly, and he did it long before other states demanded it,” he said.

The conference, according to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, was organized as part of the APC leader’s wide consultations in his quest to garner the support of party members from all backgrounds and camps.

“It is not by chance that you are all assembled here today,” he said. It’s because we completely agree that each of you is an important stakeholder who must be engaged and identified independently from others. You are the true foot troops who may return to the hallowed chambers and deliver the message to all members of your individual Houses of Assembly as well as your former colleagues in state legislatures.”
