EKO HOT BLOG reports that an Ekiti State Chief Magistrate Court in Ado Ekiti has granted an ex-parte motion brought before it to remand one Abiola Ayodeji (35) in the Nigerian Correctional Centre, Ado Ekiti.
The Police Prosecutor, Bankole Olasunkanmi requested the order, to allow the Police to complete the investigation while the duplicate case file will be forwarded to the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions for Legal advice.

Abiola Ayodeji is accused of killing his 75-year-old mother, Abiola Olaitan Florence on 11/01/2022 at Ipole Iloro in Aramoko Ekiti Magisterial District, an offence contrary to and punishable under Section. 319 (1) of the Criminal Code, Cap. C16, Laws of Ekiti State, 2012.
In his pronouncement, Chief Magistrate Titilayo Olaolorun said, the defendant is ordered to be remanded in the Nigerian Correctional Centre, Ado Ekiti, for thirty (30) days pending completion of the Police investigation.
