Afeez, a native of Ikirun, the headquarters of Ifelodun local government area of Osun State was arraigned on two counts of housebreaking and stealing.
The accused, who pleaded guilty to the charges preferred against him, also told the court that he started stealing ram during last year’s Ed el Kabir festival, when he stole a ram around Oke Fia, Osogbo, without being caught.
He, however, pleaded with the court to pardon him, adding he was led into stealing because he was hungry and needed money to buy food.

He said the complainant reported to the police that her ram was stolen, adding that upon investigation, an informant told detectives working on the case that Afeez was keeping the ram in a market, where he wanted to sell it.
Speaking further, Olayiwola said the police and the complainant went to the market, recovered the ram and arrested the accused.
