A Kaduna Court of Appeal has nullified the election of Senator Dayo Adeyeye, representing Ekiti South Senatorial district in the last general elections and has ordered INEC to issue a certificate of return to Senator Biodun Olujimi.
It could be recalled that Election Petitions Tribunal had nullified the election of the APC senatorial candidate, senator Adeyeye on grounds that his elections was malled with irregularities thereby, declaring senator Olujimi the winner of the Senatorial election.
Senator Adeyeye appealed the judgment of the tribunal by running to the Appeal Court in Kaduna but the Appeal Court through the judgment delivered by Justice Uzor Anyanwu, upheld the verdict of the tribunal.
It also be recalled that Senator Adeyeye was until few weeks to the election a member of the Peoples Democratic Party where he served as its spokesman and was one of the fiercest critics of the APC.
But following his disagreement with the then leadership of the party in Ekiti State, he jumped ship and joined the APC where he was given the ticket to contest for the Ekiti South Senatorial district election.
