An Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrate’ Court on Friday ordered two minors, Dada Olamiposi, 15, and Oladejo Sodiq, 15, to be remanded in the state’s children correctional facility over an alleged rape.
The prosecuting counsel, Insp. Monica Ikebuilo told the court that the defendants committed the offense on June 2 in Ado-Ekiti and alleged the minors raped a 17-year-old girl.

She argued that the offense contravened Section 31(2) of Child’s Right Laws of Ekiti State, 2012, and the case file duplicated and forwarded to the office of the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) for advice.
The Chief Magistrate, Mrs. Adefumike Anoma, adjourned the case till July 7, order that the defendants be remanded in Ekiti State Children Correctional Centre.
