The court awarded the cost of N1m against the claimant for filing a frivolous suit aimed at denting the image of the Deputy President of the Senate.

Justice Musa stated that the case against the Senator in the state of California was a disciplinary matter which he challenged in the United states Supreme court and won, adding that the Senator was not under any obligation to provide INEC any information in respect to the proceedings in the US.

In his final submission, the judge held that Senator Ovie Omo-agege was not under any indictment or conviction and as such he is not a convict.
