COVID-19: 187 New Cases Confirmed As Nigeria Records Lowest Recoveries Since May

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on Monday announced that the country has recorded 187 news COVID-19 cases.

The agency made the disclosure in its daily situation report and update on COVID-19 for 29th September 2020.

The country, according to NCDC, however, didn’t record any COVID-19 related death during the time under review.

NCDC also disclosed that 42 persons recovered from the virus which made it the lowest daily recovery count since May 4 when the country’s total COVID-19 cases stood at 3000.

This brings the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria to 58,647 with 49, 937 discharged and 1,111 deaths recorded.

A breakdown of the 187 positive samples shows Lagos with 74 infections and Plateau with 25.
