EKO HOT BLOG reports that the latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 223,483 COVID-19 cases.
In its latest case update dated December 18, the NCDC reports 828 new cases with no COVID-related death.

The new cases were reported in 14 states – Rivers (188), Lagos (183), Delta (97), FCT (82), Oyo (67), Edo (54), Ekiti (34), Plateau (34), Kano (27), Anambra (22), Kaduna (19), Enugu (12), Ogun (5), and Kwara (4).
According to the NCDC, no case was recorded in Bauchi, Ondo, Osun and Sokoto States.
It was gathered that out of the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria, 211,522 cases have been discharged while the death toll still stands at 2,984.
