COVID-19: Bollywood Actor Amitabh Bachchan, Son Test Positive
One of India’s best-known Bollywood actors, Amitabh Bachchan has tested positive for COVID-19, alongside his son Abhishek Bachchan.
Bachchan and his son confirmed this in a separate tweet on Saturday.
According to reports, the Bollywood star and his son have been admitted at a Mumbai hospital after both have exhibited mild symptoms.
Meanwhile, the actor revealed that the rest of his family and staff have undergone tests and are currently awaiting their results.
“I have tested CoviD positive .. shifted to Hospital .. hospital informing authorities .. family and staff undergone tests, results awaited ..All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested,” Bachchan tweeted.

In his son, Abhishek’s Tweet: “Earlier today both my father and I tested positive for COVID 19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to hospital. We have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not panic. Thank you.”

Bachchan who is considered a living legend in Hindi films, has made more than 180 films in a career spanning five decades.
According to India’s Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the country has 292,258 active cases, while 534,620 patients have recovered. At least 22,674 people have died from the virus.
