COVID-19 Cases Surge As NCDC Reports 747 New Infections, Four Deaths

  • Total cases confirmed – 176,011
  • Total cases discharged – 165,208
  • Total deaths recorded – 2,167

The latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 176,011 COVID-19 cases.

In its latest case update dated August 4, the NCDC reports 747 new cases with 4 COVID-related deaths.

The new cases were reported in 14 states – Lagos-488, Akwa Ibom-121, Oyo-29, Rivers-25, Ogun-15, FCT-13, Kaduna-13, Kwara-11, Ekiti-10, Osun-10, Edo-6, Abia-3, Anambra-2 and Plateau-1.

According to the NCDC, 0 cases were in reported in Kano, Sokoto, Nasarawa and Ondo States.

EKO HOT BLOG gathers that out of the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria, 165,208 cases have been discharged while the death toll has risen to 2,167.
