COVID-19: Death Toll Hits 200, With 1400 Cases In Lagos State

The State government has said that the state’s COVID-19 related deaths have increased to 200, with 1,400 cases.

Lagos State government also raised an alarm that 1,400 active cases were yet to turn up for admission at care centres.

Akin Abayomi, the Commissioner for Health, made the disclosure on Monday 10th of August.

He said 71 new COVID-19 infections were confirmed out of a total of 844 COVID-19 tests conducted on Sunday.

The new cases raised the total numbers of confirmed infections in Lagos to 15,797.

The official announced that 68,929 tests have been conducted since the outbreak.

“2,269 of the confirmed cases have since been discharged from COVID-19 Care Centres.”

Abayomi added that 68 active cases are currently under isolation in public and private care centres.
