Eti-Osa Council Chairman, Alhaji Saheed Bankole, has advised the people of Eti-Osa to comply with the stay-at-home order by the Federal Government, adding that the spread of the coronavirus pandemic could only be curbed if the restriction of movement is adhered to.
Bankole said this as he and the police on duty for lockdown order got to ShopRite, Jakande Roundabout to address those that had violated the order of the Federal Government.
The chairman said he was not happy at the number of people violating the lockdown process is increasing day by day. He added that those on special duties would only be allowed to drive or walk along the expressway.

“Where are you driving to after the Federal and State Government have ordered everyone to stay at home at this period of time,” he said while addressing a private car owner.
A commercial bus driver, Mr John Arinze, said people would only obey the lockdown order if the Federal Government could provide for its citizens as governments of other countries have been doing. He said if the government doesn’t provide palliative care for the citizens, it may lead the citizens to engage themselves in nefarious and ungodly activities.
“We have children and other relatives to take care of. How are we going to to take care of them if we don’t work or do you want us to steal,” he said.
